Village Well – various cultural activation (placemaking) projects
The role: As a culture designer/placemaker for Australia's leading placemaking consultancy Village Well, I drew on my background in cultural studies, workshop facilitation and engagement, writing and design to provide clients with creative and practical placemaking strategies and recommendations. I was producer and project manager of several projects with clients ranging from major multinational property and retail developers through to local town councils. Cultural activation recommendations ranged from community-led art installations, night markets, architectural and design advice, cultural and historical insights, free libraries, open green spaces, business relationships between local shop owners (and with Councils) and much more.
